Good news comes from the guitarist Slank, Abdee Negara. After undergoing intensive treatment due to an autoimmune attack affecting his kidneys, Abdee's condition has now improved. Kaka, the vocalist of Slank, confirmed that his colleague has been discharged from the hospital. Here are the details.
"He has performed, he always asks to perform when in Jakarta. He’s back home now. He needs to have regular check-ups, but he has performed," said Kaka when met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, recently.
Not only recovered, Abdee has even returned to perform on stage with Slank. Kaka also mentioned that Abdee has big plans to celebrate Slank's upcoming 41st anniversary. "He will play, insya Allah. He's okay now, it will be fun," said Kaka.
Even so, there is an interesting story when Abdee was hospitalized. It turns out, Kaka chose not to visit directly. He admitted he couldn't bear to see Abdee in a weak condition.
"I just feel lazy to meet someone who is powerless; I can't bear it. That's why my wife and I just pray for him from home," he said.
"Just pray from home. Prayers from anywhere will reach him, right? If I were asked to visit, I wouldn't be strong enough," added Kaka.
Abdee is known to have experienced a decline in health due to an autoimmune attack that disrupted his kidney function. This has raised significant concern because the kidney is a result of a previous transplant.
Fortunately, the team of doctors and autoimmune specialists provided the best care, and Abdee's condition is now stable. His spirit to return to performing with Slank is proof that Abdee does not give up despite having faced difficult times.
