7 Portraits of Lucky Resha Releasing Religious Single Titled 'Selama Ini', Starting a New Journey in the Music World While Preaching

Lucky Resha, a senior singer who has been involved in the music world since the 90s, is now back with his latest work titled Selama Ini. This religious song marks the beginning of his new journey in music as well as a form of preaching he has chosen. In his long-term plan, Lucky will release eight religious songs gradually every month.

Lucky revealed that the inspiration for this single actually existed before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the situation at that time delayed the song's production.

“Before COVID, I had prepared several songs. I was also involved in creating them, but because it was the pandemic, I almost forgot,” said Lucky Resha when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, on Friday (24/1/2025). Here are the details.

Eight songs that Lucky plans will have a strong religious theme, one of which is titled Sujudku and Bulan Ramadan. These songs are expected to be a source of encouragement and spiritual reminders for the listeners. “There are eight songs, Sujudku and Bulan Ramadan, will continue to be released every month,” he added.

Lucky's spiritual journey is an important factor behind his decision to return to the singing world with a different concept. He feels guided to draw closer to Allah through songs with Islamic nuances.

“With Allah's permission, I am guided to this path, to spend more time in gatherings than events outside. My desire is to change, to be close to Allah and the Prophet,” Lucky expressed with deep gratitude.

The songs he created are now considered more relevant to his current self compared to two decades ago. Lucky feels that his latest work reflects the journey of his life towards goodness. “Alhamdulillah I got this song, it fits with who I am now compared to 20 years ago,” he said.

Although he had taken a break from singing, Lucky received encouragement to make music again after advice from his teacher. He was given the understanding that preaching does not have to be through sermons, but can also be through art, including music. “I initially considered quitting singing, my teacher said preaching doesn’t have to be a sermon. The saints of the past preached with puppetry, singing, etc. I want to be beneficial to others, this music serves as a medium for preaching,” Lucky explained.

The support from her husband has also become a great motivation for Lucky. Although they are not in the same profession, her husband gives her full permission and completely supports Lucky's new journey in the world of religious music. “Incredible, all in even though it's not the same profession but he understands me. Alhamdulillah, I was given permission and support,” Lucky said with gratitude.

Lucky hopes that the songs she releases will not only serve as reminders for herself but also provide benefits and blessings for those who listen to them. “I hope they will always be a reminder for me, hopefully they will be a blessing for me and for those who listen,” Lucky concluded with hope.
