Story of Abdul Idol Participating in Greening Activities, Planting Trees for the First Time
This greening action is called Siap Darling and is supported by Djarum Foundation.
Kapanlagi.com - On Thursday (5/3), the Siap Sadar Lingkungan (Siap Darling) program initiated by the Djarum Foundation returned to the Gedong Songo temple complex in Semarang, Central Java. This tree planting event was attended by approximately 200 volunteers, consisting of students and singer Ahmad Abdul, also known as Abdul Idol.
Not only participating in the tree planting activity, Abdul closed the event with a performance on stage. The former Indonesian Idol contestant entertained hundreds of students who participated in the Siap Darling program with various local and international hit songs.
Abdul started his performance with Adam Levine's 'Lost Stars'. Abdul's performance immediately made the audience sing along, while some were seen capturing the moment on their phones. In the midst of his performance, the 29-year-old man did not forget to deliver a positive message to the audience about preserving the environment.
"Together, let's preserve our beautiful Indonesian nature. Can we all applaud together?" Abdul said from the stage.

On that night, Abdul also introduced his latest single titled Coming Home. This song feels so fitting with Siap Darling's vision and mission because it tells about the beauty of Indonesian nature and contains messages inviting people to love the environment more.
"I dedicate this song to all of us who have successfully maintained the stability of our nature. This time, I really want to make a song that invites people to preserve the environment. Personally, there are already so many songs about love, I want something different this time. The music video also happens to be about the environment, I want to invite others that Indonesia has beautiful scenery that is no less than abroad," said Abdul about his new song.
On that occasion, Abdul also performed several other hits such as All I Want by Kodaline, Antara Cinta dan Rahasia by Yura Yunita and Glenn Fredly, Fix You by Coldplay, and many others.
This time, the Ready Darling action was held by the Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia through the Central Java Cultural Heritage Preservation Center (BPCB). Victor Hartono, as the President Director of Djarum Foundation, hopes that this campaign can be a medium for millennial generations who have great enthusiasm to together preserve and conserve the environment through concrete and enjoyable actions.
"Djarum Foundation invites students to take real steps to care for the environment. This program is expected to cultivate a sense of ownership and pride because they are involved in greening Indonesia's historical heritage sites and spreading this good habit to the wider community," said Victor Hartono after the planting event held on Thursday (5/2).
