Addie MS Welcomes the Kiborbis KUBI Community Now as an Organization

Kapanlagi.com - Kibordis Untuk Bangsa Indonesia (KUBI) was originally a community of keyboardists and pianists founded in August 2015 by Fadhil Indra. This community aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship among keyboardists and pianists from various music genres.

As it developed, KUBI not only became a place to share musical knowledge but also a platform to design and implement various meaningful activities.

Now KUBI has officially become an organization with a grand vision to advance Indonesian music. The programs presented aim to promote keyboardists or pianists and the Indonesian community. One of them is a music education program.

"KUBI is carrying out its first program, which is music education; KUBI's programs will become a regular agenda, and of course, KUBI hopes to synergize with stakeholders in our beloved country," said the Vice Chairman I of KUBI, Teffy Mayne, at DSS Music, South Jakarta, Monday (26/8/2024).

The journey of KUBI towards public recognition began in February 2017, when its members planned a showcase of 100 keyboardists. Aware of the technical challenges they would face, they consulted with Donny Hardono, a senior keyboardist.

Thanks to his assistance, KUBI's first concert was successfully held on May 20, 2017, at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Jakarta. This concert set a world record with 132 keyboardists and pianists performing simultaneously, showcasing various music genres such as Classical, Electronic, Jazz, Pop, Dangdut, and Rock.

Chandra Darusman, a renowned musician, welcomed the establishment of KUBI as an official organization. According to him, KUBI reflects the importance of gathering and working collectively in this technological era.

2. Show Your Support

"I think KUBI will play a significant role if a group of musicians unite and work collectively to achieve something," said Chandra Darusman.

In line with this, Addie MS, a prominent composer and conductor, also expressed his support. According to Addie, the presence of KUBI is very important to unite keyboardists and pianists so they can share ideas and references with each other.

"Indeed, being together in a group is very positive and beneficial, so I support the existence of KUBI," said Addie MS.

This success encouraged KUBI to take further steps. On October 10, 2017, KUBI held another Concert of 100 Keyboardists at Monas, coinciding with the inauguration of 100 Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA). Thanks to the support from Djarot Saiful Hidayat, who was then the Governor of DKI Jakarta, the concert further strengthened KUBI's position in the national music scene.
