Ade Paloh Once Said 'Quo Vadis, SORE?' Album is His Last Work

Kapanlagi.com - The vocalist and guitarist of the band SORE, Ade Paloh, passed away at home after complaining about gastric acid problems on Tuesday (19/3/2024). Awan Garnida, Ade Paloh's bandmate, also attended the funeral. For him, Ade Paloh's departure was so sudden and unexpected.

Moreover, a few days before his return, Ade Paloh was still active in activities with Awan, without showing any signs of illness.

"There weren't really any signs or premonitions. Just three days ago, we were still doing an interview, joking around," said Awan Garnida.

Awan Garnida then remembered Sore's latest album, 'Quo Vadis, SORE?' which was released in February 2023. The album title, which means 'Where Will Sore Go After This?' seems to be a sign of Ade Paloh's farewell from the music world.

"So it's like a clear indication. I swear to God, he told me at that time, this is his last work. (Ade Paloh said) After this, I won't write songs anymore," said Awan.

When Ade Paloh stated that it was his last work, Awan didn't feel anything strange.

2. So It Became Real

"Yeah, it's just normal, like someone tired wanting to rest. We have to support, can't refuse or anything," said Awan Garnida.

After Ade Paloh's departure, the questions in the album became real. Awan also couldn't determine the direction of the band after losing Ade Paloh.

"So if someone asks what's next for Sore? We'll see. We'll see the answer from the question that Ade embedded in the last album," he said.

3. Leave the Emptiness

For Awan, the departure of Ade Paloh still leaves a feeling of sadness and an emptiness that is difficult to fill. He is not even able to sing Sore songs on stage without the presence of Ade Paloh.

"I can't imagine him not being there, how would it be? It's still heavy. Singing the songs, mentioning the lyrics, it's still not complete," he concluded.
