Kapanlagi.com - The band God Bless, consisting of Ahmad Albar (vocal), Ian Antono (guitar), Donny Fatah (bass), Abadi Soesman (keyboard), and Fajar Satritama (drum), released their latest album titled 'ANTHOLOGY'
This album is released as a celebration of God Bless' 50th anniversary. God Bless drummer, Fajar Satritama, revealed that the process of making the 'Anthology' album started from July last year.
"Maybe around July, it's been more than a year, and the mixing was done two months ago. It took a long time, but the main thing is not to let the orchestra overshadow God Bless and make it just a backing band," said Fajar Satritama in a press conference at Bentara Budaya, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (21/6/2023).

On the album "Anthology", God Bless involved musician Tohpati. This 51-year-old guitarist was appointed to rearrange the songs on the album "Anthology".
"At first I was nervous but eventually I waited for protests hahaha. But there's something I'm careful about now, Mas Ian, because Mas Ian is the best music producer in his era, because he's already a legend. I'm afraid if it's changed too much, I'll be disappointed," said Tohpati.

The album "Anthology" contains 11 old songs by God Bless that were re-recorded with the latest version. Then, God Bless added one instrumental medley. God Bless vocalist, Ahmad Albar, said that it initially felt stiff when re-recording God Bless songs in the current digital era.
"It was initially stiff too. But, after going through it, it's cool and fun. Whether the arrangement is changed, it's fun for me," said Ahmad Albar.
Here are the songs included in the album "Anthology": Menjilat Matahari, Bla Bla Bla, Huma Di Atas Bukit, Kehidupan, Serigala Jalanan, Jalan Pulang, Balada Sejuta Wajah, Musisi, Rumah Kita, Semut Hitam, and Maret 89.
