ARINA Shows Support for Mental Health Patients Through Debut Single 'Aku Disini'

That expression fits perfectly to describe the figure of a newcomer singer named Istiqomah Arina Proboningtyas, or familiarly known as ARINA. She is a teacher who has had a great talent in the world of singing since she was young.

Arina was born into an educator family who also loves music. At the age of 35, she finally dared to release and sing her own song titled Aku Di Sini (I Am Here).

Arina addresses a theme that can be considered bold and non-mainstream in her debut single. She expresses her support for people who experience mental health issues (mental illness).

"This is my first single and this song may represent feelings that are rarely expressed in other songs. I was inspired to make this song by seeing people around me who seem fine but actually aren't. They have to struggle with something and they need someone to talk to in order to make them feel better," Arina explains about her song.

Arina released the single Aku Di Sini in connection with World Bipolar Day, which falls on March 30th. She also wants to invite her listeners to empathize with the feelings of those who experience it, and how much they need support in overcoming this condition.

Arina delivers each lyric in a simple way to convey the message of this song. With a light yet beautiful music arrangement by Aldisyah Latuihamallo, Arina showcases her excellent, effortless, and soothing vocals, making this song sound serene to the ears.

The recording process of the song Aku Disini was done in 2 places, Jakarta and Bali. In the production of the song, Arina was also assisted by great musicians such as Andre Dinuth, Rachel Levina, and Rifandi Harvyan.

"The execution of the arrangement, music, and recording took 2 weeks for this song. The basic music actually existed a year ago. Then it was rearranged by Bung Aldi. For the music recording, it was all done by musicians in Jakarta, and then Bung Aldi flew to Bali to help me with the vocal recording," explained Arina.
