Jakarta-based Indie Rock Band, Echo Wind Releases Fourth Single 'Dimension'

Kapanlagi.com - The prolonged Covid-19 pandemic does not make Indonesian musicians lose their creativity in creating new works, as done by the Jakarta-based band, Echo Wind. Recently, this indie rock band introduced their fourth single titled Dimension.

The single Dimension itself tells a story about positive messages for all living creatures to be happy in any dimension. Through this song, the band, consisting of William Mulyadi (vocals), Hendry Halim (guitar), Rheza Franklyn (bass), and Hendrix Punch (drums), wants to invite their listeners to never stop hoping to achieve happiness.

"So as humans, we don't need to be pessimistic in facing life. All possibilities can happen, but reality is the truth. That hope actually exists and the purpose of life is happiness," explained Willy, the vocalist of Echo Wind, in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

1. Challenges During the Production of 'Dimension'

Echo Wind always conducts various unconventional experiments on each of their singles. The same goes for Dimension. Their main mission is to deliver their best work from the heart. Therefore, Echo Wind is not afraid to stray from the mainstream path when presenting their works.

"During the production process of each single, including the new single Dimension, we strive to be our true selves in expressing the musical emotions of each member and are not afraid to express them in the form of musical art, because the target we want to achieve is to bring happiness to our listeners and our work can be appreciated by music enthusiasts in our country," added the members of Echo Wind.

One of the biggest obstacles for Echo Wind in the production of the single Dimension is the COVID-19 pandemic. To follow the implemented health protocols, each member mostly carried out their production virtually.

"Since the implementation of the PSBB, we have rarely gathered, but we are not disheartened or giving up. We utilize and take advantage of the ease of the internet to continue to connect and communicate in music. We search for ideas, build moods, share music data until reaching the final point of a song by utilizing the Internet connection," explained Willy.

2. About Echo Wind

Echo Wind is an indie band group that combines rock with various musical colors, ranging from progressive to psychedelic. So far, the band formed in 2010 has released 4 singles, namely Scars (2019), Symbol (2020), Miracle But Magical (2020), and Dimension (2021). In addition, Echo Wind also released an EP titled To All My Friend in 2020.

The discography of Dimension above has been officially released on various digital platforms such as iTunes, Deezer, Joox, Spotify, and others.
