Barasuara Closes the 'Jalaran Sadrah' Tour in Jakarta, Raises Funds for Sumatra Disaster Victims

Kapanlagi.com - Barasuara successfully closed the Jalaran Sadrah Album Showcase Tour. After previously shaking up Bandung, Cirebon, Purwokerto, and Semarang, Jakarta became the final destination and the peak of their tour journey.

Thousands of loyal fans, affectionately called Penunggang Badai, crowded the event location to witness the stage performance of their idol group. The band, consisting of Iga Massardi, TJ Kusuma, Marco Steffiano, Asteriska, Gerald Situmorang, and Puti Chitara, expressed their amazement at the enthusiasm of the audience present.

1. The Biggest Concert in 13 Years of Making Music

For Barasuara, this closing concert is not just an ordinary performance, but a significant milestone in their 13-year music career.

"This might be our biggest concert. We started at Rossi Musik in 2015 with 300 people, and 13 years later, we have around 1200 spectators; this is an extraordinary milestone for us," said Iga Massardi.

2. Indulging the Ears with Hit Songs

Throughout the concert, Barasuara presented a very diverse repertoire. Not only did they perform material from their latest album Jalaran Sadrah, but they also indulged the audience with hit songs from their first album Taifun and their second album Pikiran dan Perjalanan.

Powerful songs like Antea, Fatalis, Merayakan Fana, and Pancarona made the atmosphere that night even hotter and full of energy.

3. Show New Song

A special surprise was presented through a more intimate and simple acoustic session. Iga Massardi performed solo with Sendu Melagu, followed by the appearance of Puti and Asteriska in the song Mengunci Ingatan. In addition, Barasuara gave a special gift to the audience by performing a new song titled Alon-Alon that has never been released before.

"We have a new song, it's called Alon-Alon, we made it during the pandemic. It was created with Gerald, we worked on it together, and I wrote the lyrics," said Iga Massardi.

4. Express Gratitude and Appreciation

The atmosphere was filled with emotion as Barasuara began to play closing songs such as Hagia and Api dan Lentera. Thousands of voices from the audience could be heard singing every lyric until the end of the concert. Iga Massardi also took the time to express his gratitude and appreciation to the entire team and fans who have accompanied Barasuara on their long journey since 2012.

"Thank you to those who helped, Signature Time, PPC Production, and Penunggang Badai, 13 years we have been together, many things have been gone through," said Iga Massardi.

5. Show Social Concern

In addition to celebrating musical works, Barasuara also shows a deep concern for the disasters of flash floods and landslides that have struck the regions of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

In between performances, they displayed videos of forest destruction and data on casualties on a large screen as a reminder for the audience to help each other in times of disaster.

6. Invite Fans to Donate

Barasuara also invites the Storm Riders to contribute through fundraising actions from the sales of special souvenirs. They hope this small step can help alleviate the burden of disaster victims in the Sumatra region so they can recover soon.

"We also made T-shirts, the profits of which we will donate to Sumatra, hopefully we can all contribute in any form. God willing, we will hold fundraising events a few more times," concluded Iga Masardi.
