Bring Classic Pop-Rock Genre with 90s Nuance, Musician Damon Koeswoyo Creates Duo Darah Biru

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Damon Koeswoyo along with Sarah Hadju formed a duo named Darah Biru. Darah Biru itself is an abbreviation of DAmon and saRAH BIkin baRU. A duo project that was delayed since its inception in 2013. Now they have finally completed not only one song but a full album consisting of 9 songs. Certainly, this is their original work.

Damon explained that his decision to include two songs from Tonny Koeswoyo and one song from Kidnap Katrina is a form of tribute to his father and his previous band.

“Of course, it is mixed and arranged in the Darah Biru style,” said Damon.

Meanwhile, Sarah revealed that the process of making this album has provided many lessons and new experiences in the world of music. In this album, Sarah and Damon prove their ability to write and create original Darah Biru songs.

“This is the power of collaboration and consistency in our love for the world of music that we have successfully manifested over a fairly long period of time,” said Sarah.

1. Strong 90s Vibes

The attraction of this Darah Biru album is Damon and Sarah's original work in the classic pop-rock genre that brings a 90s vibe.

"It can be said that this Darah Biru album will indulge the ears of pop-rock music enthusiasts, also with the hope that Darah Biru can be accepted by Gen Z," said Damon.

Their debut single will be the song Percuma, and its music video will be uploaded on the YouTube channel: DARAH BIRU Duo, along with the release of the Darah Biru album on December 28, 2023, on all digital platforms.

In the production process of this album, Darah Biru involved several musicians to support the creation process, including: Rita Effendy & Ronni Waluya (backing vocals), Shayan Malik (backing vocals & beat programming), Andaka Wahyu Adi/Koko Kidnap Katrina (additional guitar for the song Lautan Kenangan), IndraQ (mixing), & Tori Sudarsono (mastering).
