Calum Scott Reveals Behind the Scenes of Single 'Biblical', Written During Lockdown - Second Album's Predecessor

Kapanlagi.com - Four years have passed since the explosion of You Are The Reason, soloist Calum Scott introduces a new song titled Biblical. The release of this song is used by the British musician as a precursor to his second album, which will be released soon.

Frankly, Calum admitted to having doubts in preparing for his second album. Because he wants his works to be liked by everyone again, just like his debut album Only Human (2018).

"I initially had doubts, as any artist would when releasing new work after a long time. Especially because I really put my heart into this song, hoping people will like it as much as I do," said Calum quoted by KapanLagi.com during a virtual press conference via Zoom, on Wednesday (16/6/2021).

Calum Scott also gave a little hint of what his second album will be like. According to the 32-year-old man, his album will be richer because it contains experiences from his childhood to becoming a famous figure like now.

"I feel like I have grown more mature compared to the first album. Previously, I didn't have time to think about myself. When writing this second album, I had that time. So I told a lot of things, about my childhood, about anything," he explained.

2. Written During Lockdown

In the single Biblical, Calum Scott took inspiration from having to go through a lockdown. Where he had to be separated from loved ones, he was able to create a work that is hoped to inspire many listeners around the world.

"When I wrote this song, it was during the lockdown, I haven't seen my family, my friends for months. For four years, I always performed on stage, then the pandemic came and everything stopped. At that time, I was hard on myself. When I got the idea for this song, the moment was like awakening me. It's magical. I want those who listen to my song to feel it," said the singer who emerged from the Britain's Got Talent.
