Celebrate International Reggae Music Day, Erick SG Releases His 100th Song Titled 'Pelic'

This song marks his 100th release in his career in the Indonesian music industry. Not only that, Erick SG also released this song coinciding with the celebration of International Reggae Music Day on July 1, 2025.

"Alhamdulillah Single 'Pelic' is the 100th song that I have created and released on the occasion of International Reggae Music Day. All this time I have been creating and performing on the island of Java. Through Transparan Musik, I hope the songs produced can be recognized more widely," said Erick when met at the Transparan Musik office, Cibubur City.

The song Pelic itself raises themes of peace and an inspiring spirit of life. Through its lyrics, Erick invites his listeners not to despair, to avoid arrogance, and to keep moving forward despite many obstacles in the way.

According to Erick, choosing the moment of International Reggae Music Day as the release time is not without reason. He feels honored to present his special work on a day celebrated by reggae lovers around the world.

International Reggae Music Day was first commemorated on July 1, 1994, as a tribute to the peaceful message of reggae music. This momentum also serves as a platform to support reggae artists and expand public knowledge about Jamaican culture.

Through this song, Erick hopes to bring his works to a wider realm, including the international stage. Moreover, Pelic is already available on various digital platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, and iTunes.

So far, Erick SG is known through hit songs like Marai Cemburu, Bidadari Kesleo, and Pupusing Nelongso, which are popular among Javanese musicians. His works are also frequently sung by top singers such as Happy Asmara, Via Vallen, and Nella Kharisma.

2. Collaboration with Veteran Musicians

As a music producer for Pelic, Erick collaborates with Tanto, a veteran musician and sound engineer from Yogyakarta who has handled major national projects, including those with Denny Caknan and Ada Band.

"In addition to a fair and wise collaboration with Transparan Musik, I recommend this label for Indonesian musicians to create and exist in the music entertainment world," concluded Erick SG.
