Creating the Song 'Menggapai Bintang (The Highest Star)', Div Ivangkia Wants to Bring the Glory of Children's Songs in the 90s Era

Kapanlagi.com - Besides being a singer, Div Ivangkia apparently also has the ability to create songs. The latest one, he created a children's song sung by Fannita Posumah and child singer Kayana Allica Soegomo titled Menggapai Bintang (The Highest Star).

For Div, creating children's songs is an interesting challenge. Previously, he was used to creating love songs for adults, but now he has to be creative in making children's songs that are light but have a good message.

"The biggest challenge is making songs for young children. Because love songs for adults are already common. I watched Kayana's video before, and then I thought about how someone must have a dream to be valuable in everyone's heart," said Div when met in the Pondok Labu area, South Jakarta, recently.

"What came to my mind at first were Disney songs, with fairytale themes, and it happened that Kayana is also very feminine, so it's suitable for songs like that," he added.

1. Reviving the Music of the 90s

A new experience for Div, besides creating children's songs, is being a vocal director for Kayana during vocal takes. Dealing with a young child, Div has to be able to maintain Kayana's mood so that she is always in a good state.

"For the first time, I also directed Kayana's vocals. The difficulty lies in maintaining Kayana's mood. Because she doesn't want her singing to be cut. But slowly, I explained to her and thankfully the results were satisfying," said Div.

Through this song, Div also has high hopes for Indonesian children's songs. As we know, in the 90s there were many children's songs that were suitable for children in terms of lyrics and the singer's voice. Just mention names like Tasya Kamila, Joshua, and others.

"What I think is missing from Indonesian music is the innocent vocals of young children. Because if we look at singing contests on TV, their vocals are already matured. Vocals like those from the time of Tasya Kamila, Cikita Meidy, Joshua, Meisy, have disappeared. I really want to bring back the glory of children's music with innocent vocals, but this time with meaningful lyrics," explained Div.

2. Will Create a Song for Dewi Perssik?

After this project, Div is also preparing a lot of ammunition to reintroduce his works. One of them is creating a song for Dewi Persik and making a showcase.

"Next, God willing, if there are no obstacles, I will compose a song for Om Ozy Syahputra and Dewi Persik. I will also duet with Fannita Posumah. There are plans for a showcase that will also feature singers who will perform my works," Div concluded.
