Dust and Dul Jaelani Collaborate on 'Mabuk Lagi', A Blend of Music and Spirituality

"I am amazed at how Mas Dhani conveyed that message to his children. And when I met Dul, I felt he truly understood the essence I wanted to convey in this song," said Mustafa.

Dul Jaelani also feels proud to collaborate with Debu, who has long been known for their Sufi-inspired music. For him, this project is not just about creating music, but also about preserving the cultural wealth of the archipelago.

"This collaboration brings together the art of gambus and traditional music that must continue to be preserved. This song is not just a song, but also a spiritual experience," said Dul.

2. Music Video with a Unique Concept

The creative process of this song also involved director Deriel Sudiro, who was entrusted to work on the music video. The concept presented is quite interesting, depicting someone who appears to be drunk after being offered a drink. However, at the end of the story, it is revealed that what he drank was just plain water.

"The message we want to convey is that being drunk here does not come from external factors, but from within oneself," revealed Mustafa.

This music video is even more special with the involvement of the Sufi Dance Community from North Jakarta and several talents such as Burhan Al Daood, Yusuf Al Daood, and Dezan Abimanyu. From the music production side, Mustafa Debu and Dul Jaelani acted as producers, while Heldy Mahardika took on the role of Music Director and Arranger. The Mixing and Mastering process was entrusted to DJ Sumantri alias Sumobeat at Livingroom Studio Jakarta.

Mabuk Lagi continues the red thread that Debu has carried since their first album, which is to present music that invites listeners to reflect on the deeper meaning of love.
