Kapanlagi.com - After a long wait for fans, Foo Fighters have finally been confirmed to hold a concert in Jakarta. The American rock band is scheduled to perform on October 2, 2025, at Carnaval Beach Ancol.
This confirmation was made directly by Ravel Junardy, the CEO of Ravel Entertainment, which is the promoter for the Foo Fighters concert in Indonesia. He mentioned that the concert venue will be the same as the previous Green Day concert.
“So Foo Fighters will play in Jakarta on October 2, 2025, at the Carnaval Ancol venue, just like Green Day did before,” said Ravel Junardy in Kebayoran, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (05/20/2025).
Tickets for the Foo Fighters concert will go on sale starting May 26, 2025, through the official website www.foojkt.com. Ticket prices have also been announced in three different categories.
For categories 1A and 1B, each is priced at Rp2,888,555. Then categories 2A and 2B are priced at Rp2,888,555 and Rp2,366,555, while category 3 starts at Rp1,788,555.
This concert will be the opening of the Foo Fighters tour in Southeast Asia before they perform in Singapore. Although the Singapore schedule is after Jakarta, Ravel admitted he is not worried about losing local audiences.
“I don’t think people will rush to Singapore. I believe Indonesians prefer to watch concerts in Indonesia, especially since this is a momentum. I am confident that Indonesians will watch in Indonesia,” Ravel continued.
Regarding the opening act, Ravel revealed that discussions are still ongoing. However, he mentioned the possibility of involving a local band as a supporting act.
“Our supporting act is still under discussion. I would like to have an Indonesian band,” Ravel stated.
The choice of Foo Fighters as the performer was not a sudden decision. Ravel shared that from the beginning he was given two options for bands, namely The Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters. However, he chose to focus on Foo Fighters because of his love for Dave Grohl.
"Actually, I chose Foo Fighters from the beginning, I was offered both. I want to focus on them, I want to enjoy the concert from start to finish. I will be watching Dave Grohl because I am a huge fan of him," he explained.
This concert is also part of a series of major events organized by Ravel Entertainment. He referred to Ancol Carnaval Beach as the largest venue they have for large-scale events.
"If you ask about the biggest venue, it is Carnaval Ancol. Yesterday we didn't use all of it. If 100 thousand people can fit in Carnaval," Ravel emphasized the concert location's capacity.

The same venue will also continue to be used for the Hammersonic heavy metal festival, which is held annually. Ravel ensures that the preparations will be more maximal for next year.
"So the venue for Hammersonic will still be at Carnaval," he added.
Not only maintaining the location, Ravel promises that the next Hammersonic experience will be bigger than before. He is optimistic that this concert will provide an unforgettable experience for the audience.
"I can definitely assure you that Hammersonic will be more amazing," Ravel concluded.
