'Freedom of Pandemic' A Prayer from Genk21 Music Group for Humanity

Kapanlagi.com - 2 years ago, a band called Genk21 was formed. Interestingly, this band is a combination of 2 music groups, namely Aminor Band which carries the rock n roll & blues genre and Optimist Band which has the Pop Rock genre.

Genk21 recently introduced a new album entitled Freedom Of Pandemic which contains rock songs. This album was released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the members' friendship.

"Work From Home since the beginning of the pandemic became one of the reasons why we wrote songs and made this Freedom of Pandemic album as a marker of our 25 years of friendship. This album is also a prayer for humanity to soon be free from the Covid-19 pandemic," said Wahyoe Andi, a member of Genk21 Indonesia to the media on Thursday (10/3/2022).

Wahyoe, the vocalist of Optimist Band, explained that the songs on this album are also a combination of Aminor and Optimist songs. The single titled Ketenangan Menguasai Keadaan written by bassist Bima Setyawan is one of the mainstays on the Freedom of Pandemic album.

What's special is that one of the Power Slaves personnel, Heydi Ibrahim, also participated in the making of several tracks on the album.

"We are also very grateful to Heydi Ibrahim from Power Slaves Band who has spent a lot of time, thoughts, and his powerful vocals to support and collaborate in making this album on the songs Morning Dew and Run To You," said Wahyoe.
