Hear the Late Glenn Fredly's Voice at the 25-Year Career Concert, Rossa Cries

Kapanlagi.com - Rossa successfully held her concert titled 'Rossa 25 Shining Years Concert' which was held at Istora Senayan, Friday (27/5) yesterday. In the concert, Rossa performed around 28 of her hit songs for approximately 2.5 hours.

The singer of Tegar successfully invited the audience to feel emotional with her ballad songs. However, Rossa also succeeded in inviting all the audience to dance together with the upbeat songs arranged by Eka Gustiwana.

1. Crying While Performing the Song 'Sekali Ini Saja'

But there was one song that made Rossa very emotional to the point of tears, namely when she performed the song Sekali Ini Saja by the late Glenn Fredly. The moment happened when Rossa collaborated with Andi Rianto.

"The next song I'm going to sing is for an extraordinary musician in the Indonesian music industry. At that time, Mutia (Ayu) once told me that Glenn wanted to watch my concert, but he couldn't even though he already had a ticket. Glenn, this is for you, we love you forever," said Rossa while asking all the audience to turn on their phone flashlights.

But in the middle of the song, the music stopped and suddenly the voice of Glenn Fredly singing the song was heard. Rossa was shocked and couldn't hold back her tears until the end of the song.

2. Andi Rianto's Memories

After that, Andi Rianto revealed that about 20 years ago, he was the one who arranged the song Sekali Ini Saja for Glenn Fredly. He hopes that the song, which is now being re-released by Rossa, will have a long life like Glenn Fredly's.

"I remember when Ocha asked me to arrange this song, Ocha said, 'Mas Andi, I have permission to sing the song Sekali Ini Saja.' I arranged the song 20 years ago. I told Ocha that this was one of the best songs by the late Glenn Fredly. Singing this song is a heavy responsibility, but the result is amazing. Hopefully, this song will also have a long life," said Andi Rianto.

3. A Song for a Friend

During a press conference after the concert, Rossa shared her feelings when she cried on stage while performing the song Sekali Ini Saja. The song was dedicated to her friend, Glenn Fredly.

"I didn't know what happened during rehearsal, suddenly the music stopped playing. I was surprised, thinking that maybe the power went out. Then suddenly I heard Glenn Fredly's voice, and I cried," she said.

"I dedicate this song to my friend, Glenn, who is up there. Hopefully, by singing this song, for the next 20 years, it can be enjoyed for even longer," concluded Rossa.
