Inspired by His Father's Work, Abeliano Releases 'Hoping You'll Be Mine'

Similar to Love Me Like You Say You Do, this latest rhapsody titled Hoping You'll Be Mine was written solely by Abeliano. With a touch of country-pop and surf-rock, Abeliano showcases a more joyful and relaxed musicality as he interacts with someone who has created an unexpected feeling.

Interestingly, the music concept presented in Hoping You'll Be Mine is inspired by Abeliano's father. As known, Abeliano's father is also a musician who enjoys creating songs.

"Although I can't say whether this song is inspired by my personal life or not, what I can tell you right now is that I was moved to create a song with this kind of musical composition when I remembered one of my father's original musical creations. I don't know why, but I immediately felt an electrifying chemistry from his work," Abeliano expressed.

Unlike his previous works, Abeliano crafted Hoping You'll Be Mine in a simple way. The clear hope is that the message conveyed through the song can be delivered clearly.

"As a musician and songwriter, I want to always be open to various ideas and song formats. For this song, Hoping You'll Be Mine, I want to create something that is more straightforward and easily understood by listeners because, in my opinion, the message of this song is very clear," he said.

2. Joining Spotify RADAR Indonesia 2024

Another element that facilitated the production process of Hoping You'll Be Mine was the return of Diondjokoadi as the producer. The musician who has previously produced music for vocalists in the scene such as Uap Widya, Aruna Dawn, and Harvey Christo revealed that popular music by Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, and Ed Sheeran served as additional references for him in crafting the production of 'Hoping You'll Be Mine'.

Last but not least, the release of Hoping You'll Be Mine follows an important announcement on March 29, 2024, that Abeliano has become one of the new musicians officially joining Spotify RADAR Indonesia 2024, a campaign by the digital streaming platform Spotify to introduce fresh talents from various music scenes in the country.
