Boyway & The Palmeiros Release 'Juang Angan', One of Ade Paloh's Last Works Before Passing Away

Kapanlagi.com - Newcomer singer, Boy Warongan, through his solo project under the moniker Boyway & The Palmeiros, has released his debut single titled 'Juang Angan'. Interestingly, this song is one of the last works by the late Ade Paloh before his passing on March 19, 2024.

In the process of making the song, the late Ade Paloh served as the songwriter and producer. Ade Paloh revealed that the song 'Juang Angan' was initially written as a piece for SORE, but he decided to give it to Boy Warongan, who is a fan of his. Ade Paloh also explained that the lyrics of the song convey a message of optimism in facing failure as a strength in one's struggle.

"About the call to never give up in every failure. That even if we die in failure, at least we have tried and that's where we have won in everything," said Ade Paloh before passing away.

Boy Warongan himself, who is actually a politician and academician who currently holds a parliamentary seat as the Vice Chairman of Commission 1 of the Pematang Siantar City Regional People's Representative Council and is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of North Sumatra. Boy's love for SORE brought him to meet Ade Paloh, mediated by Abdullah Yusro from Setengah Lima Records.

After that, they agreed to collaborate and release the song 'Juang Angan' as their debut single.

2. Starting from Watching a Concert

"The making of this single began when my wife and I watched a SORE concert in Jakarta in 2022," said Boy Warongan in his written statement on Friday (5/4).

"The universe then brought me together with Ade Paloh, who then encouraged me to enter the music world and perform one of his compositions," he added.

3. Other Musicians

In addition to being assisted by Ade Paloh, Juang Angan is also assisted by a number of young musicians such as Viqi Fauzi and Theodoros Ibnu Aziz from the band Magnolia Celebration on guitar and bass. There are also Andrian Hendry and Benie Siregar who are present to strengthen the Boyway & The Palmeiros project in the guitar and drum departments.

The production of the single Juang Angan took place at Lontar Studio, where SORE usually records their works. This song was then released under the Setengah Lima Records label.
