Ramadan Moment, Ekey Releases Single 'Bersujud' that Talks About Gratitude and Surrender of Humans

Kapanlagi.com - In this Ramadan month, singer Asrilia Kurniati or commonly known as Ekey, releases a religious single titled Bersujud. This single becomes a contemplation and self-reflection for her.

When met in South Jakarta area recently, Ekey said that Bersujud is inseparable from her personal experience. When she wanted to become a better human being, Bersujud represents her at that time.

"This song becomes a witness in my journey and contemplation of life. We don't know when we will be called by Him," said Ekey.

"That's why this Ramadan becomes a moment for me to introspect myself from all mistakes and seek forgiveness from Allah SWT," Ekey added.

Furthermore, Ekey explained the story behind the song Bersujud. For Ekey, Bersujud is a manifestation of how someone communicates with Allah SWT. Besides always striving to be better, Bersujud also conveys a message for us as humans to surrender ourselves to Allah SWT.

"Bersujud is a song that tells about human surrender to the Creator," he explained briefly.

2. In Dubai

Ekey has also finished the music video for Bersujud. The concept of the music video depicts all the lyrics in this song. The shooting process of the music video was done in Dubai.

"Alhamdulillah, the video shooting took place in the desert of Dubai and was assisted by videographers Goldy and Rio Motret for additional concepts," he said.

3. Getting Closer to Allah SWT

Through this single, with the help of Kamga and Iponk, Ekey hopes to get closer to and gain the blessings of Allah SWT.

"I hope that in this Ramadan, we all receive His blessings and it becomes a moment of reflection on the life we have lived. Every step, I surrender my life and death to You, I submit myself only to You, O Lord, O Allah," he expressed his hope.
