Kapanlagi.com - Rival Achmad Labbaika alias Ipay, along with his legal team, officially reported the vocalist of the band Radja, Ian Kasela, to the Jakarta Metro Police on Friday, September 1, 2023, evening, on charges of copyright infringement of the song Cinderella.
Ipay stated that if his report is processed and he wins the case, as the claimed creator of the song, he will request the state to remove the song Cinderella so that it is no longer sung for commercial purposes.
"I will submit a request to the state to eliminate that song. I am certain that children are involved in that song. Whatever it is, when that song is published, it will have psychological impact," said Ipay at the Jakarta Metro Police on Friday, September 1, 2023, evening.
"So it is better to consider that song non-existent, buried, and not to be sung by anyone anymore," he added.

Ipay admitted that he had to take legal action solely to fight for his rights as the creator of the song Cinderella, not because he wanted to perform the song.
"And I don't want to sing that song. So don't think that I sent a legal notice because I want to sing the Cinderella song," said Ipay.
"I want to claim my rights, I want to clarify the justification and the law, and I want someday if the Cinderella song truly becomes my right, I will ask for it to be removed," he continued.
Before filing a police report, Ipay first sent a legal notice to Ian Kasela. In the content of the legal notice, Ipay demanded compensation of Rp 20 billion from Ian Kasela.
However, the legal notice sent by Ipay was not responded to. Instead, Ian Kasela reported himself to the police on charges of identity forgery.
"We sent the legal notice with the intention of mediation but there was no way out, they instead filed a report, that's why we filed a report," said Ipay.
