Kapanlagi.com - One of the rock music festivals in Southeast Asia, JogjaROCKarta International Rock Music Festival edition 4, which will be held on Sunday (1/3) at Kridosono Stadium, Yogyakarta, is ready to be held. In previous editions, JogjaROCKarta Festival (JRF) often featured many big names in the rock music industry, not only local but also international, such as Dream Theater, Megadeth, and Extreme.
This time, JRF is bringing back two legendary music groups. Not just one but two, namely Scorpions and Whitesnake. This is considered as one of the special things according to Anas Syahrul Alimi, the founder of JogjaROCKarta Festival & CEO of Rajawali Indonesia.
"What makes it different is the presence of the two supergroups, Scorpions and Whitesnake," said Anas during a press conference at Hotel Tentrem, Yogyakarta, on Saturday (29/2).
Although he has held dozens of concerts and world-class music festivals, Anas admitted that this year's JRF is the most worrisome for him. This is because there are two issues that could potentially cancel JRF, namely the corona virus and Klaus Meine, the vocalist of Scorpions, who has to undergo kidney stone surgery in Melbourne, Australia a week before performing at JRF.
"This 4th edition of JRF is the most nerve-wracking. Besides Dream Theater moving from Prambanan to Kridosono. The corona virus issue, and then there's Klaus Meine's kidney surgery. I couldn't even dare to read WhatsApp messages. The agent asked me to call him. So I turned off my phone. The next day I called, but it turned out that Jogja is safe, no need to worry. The Hu is also worried because they're from Mongolia. It turns out that only Chinese passports are banned from entering. They will land tomorrow," explained Anas.

To support the grandeur of one of the biggest rock music festivals in Southeast Asia, the promoter has made various maximum preparations. As in previous years, JRF edition 4 will also provide amazing and spectacular performances. The giant stage measuring 34m x 12m, plus magnificent lighting, large and attractive digital backdrops, and sound systems that will surely make the audience's hearts tremble.
There is a slight difference in the large stage setup, where the stage will be added with an extension of about 9 meters. "The addition of this stage extension is at the special request of Scorpions, and of course it will be different from previous years," said Anas.
The preparations for the production have been taken seriously by the organizers, and they have started since February 22nd.
"Loading and technical or production preparations have started since February 22nd, 2020, because we want to provide excellent and comfortable output for the audience's ears, and now we are very ready," said Bakkar Wibowo, Co-Founder and Project Director of JogjaROCKarta Festival.
The audience's enthusiasm is quite high. Around 10 thousand tickets have been sold out. "It's quite good, the enthusiasm for Scorpions and Whitesnake. When the number of tickets reaches 10 thousand," said Bakkar.
Indonesia's big bands will also liven up this 4th edition of JRF. God Bless, Death Vomit, Powerslaves, Navicula, and Kelompok Penerbang Roket are among the performers in JRF edition 4. Tickets can be obtained directly on the spot at the venue starting on Saturday (29/2) from 12:00 to 18:00 WIB and on March 1, 2020 from 10:00 to 23:00 WIB with VIP prices of Rp 2,000,000, Festival A Rp 1,400,000, and Festival B Rp 900,000 including tax and admin fee.
