Juliette Pours Out Betrayal of Love Through Latest Single 'UGH'

Kapanlagi.com - The pandemic era did not stop the band Juliette from creating. The band, led by Zoe (vocals), Ale (guitar), and Sefri (drums), has just introduced their latest single titled UGH. Previously, Juliette achieved significant success with 2 singles Selalu Dalam Hatiku and Baik, Seksi released in 2019.

Zoe's interpretation of the song UGH feels very real, because the theme is very fitting with the story she just experienced. It can be said that UGH is a heartfelt expression from the vocalist.

"This is what makes Ale, a lot of people confide in Ale, one of them is accommodated. About love, feeling the pain, already believing in a partner but being betrayed," said Zoe.

"The song was made for someone who sings because they experienced heartache, so it fits," added Ale.

1. Spirit to Keep Creating

The single UGH was originally planned to be released in April. However, due to the pandemic, Ale CS chose to temporarily halt all activities. Eventually, the single UGH was officially released on November 18, 2020.

"I miss the spirit of making music. Many friends and fans also miss it. At that time, our former label invited us to produce again. The timing was right, so we produced it. There were definitely difficulties. It was supposed to be released in April, but it was delayed because of COVID, and our activities stopped. When the situation eased, we started producing again," explained Ale.

2. Recycling Songs by Chrisye and Dewa

It doesn't stop here, the band under the auspices of Galery Musik Indonesia (GMI Records) will also release a full album in January. Among the prepared songs, 2 of them are recycled hits by legendary musicians from Indonesia.

"There are 10 songs in the album. It includes 2 recycled songs by Indonesian legends, Andai Aku Bisa by Chrisye, and Pupus by Dewa. The album also features duets with several singers, including influencers. We are adjusting to the current market to make it more easily accepted. Hopefully, it will be a surprise. We don't expect it to be better than the originals, but at least it can be enjoyed," concluded Ale.
