Latest Single by Rossa Titled 'Wanita' Receives Touch from Mastering Engineer of Taylor Swift's Song

Kapanlagi.com - Renowned singer Rossa releases a new single titled 'Wanita' created by Rian D'Masiv. While usually themed around love, this song takes a universal approach as an encouragement for women.

Not only that, this song is also said to inspire women who are struggling in various professional fields. Rossa wants to show appreciation for these resilient women.

"Women today face many challenges. Some are doctors, teachers, nurses, housewives, students, everyone is fighting during the pandemic. I want to take the time to show appreciation to the women around us, as well as to ourselves," said Rossa during a Zoom press conference on Friday (16/7/2021).

1. Taylor Swift's Song Mastered by Mastering Engineer

Apart from involving local musicians, the single Wanita also received the touch of Grammy Awards recipient, Randy Merrill. As known, Randy is a senior mastering engineer who has helped world musicians such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and even Ariana Grande.

"So at that time, I asked Rian where he wanted to do the mastering? Because I wanted the sound to be like Taylor Swift's songs, and Rian said 'Just go there (Randy)'. Finally, I got assistance, sent it to the US," Rossa shared her story.

2. Video Shoot Delayed Due to PPKM

The single Wanita was supposed to have a music video. However, when it was time for the shooting, the government implemented PPKM in Java-Bali, so the plan had to be changed. Along with the release of the single, an animated lyric video was also released.

"When I was about to make the music video, suddenly PPKM was implemented, and I couldn't travel to a certain place. So, we made the lyric video a week ago," she concluded.
