Kapanlagi.com - Three months after the launch of their latest album, MALIQ & D'Essentials announced their readiness to embark on CAN MACHINES FALL IN LOVE? (CMFIL?), which is an Album Tour during October-December 2024 in Indonesia and Malaysia. The tour is fully supported by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, which last year was part of the 20th Anniversary Concert of MALIQ & D’Essentials.
The music tour managed by Jagjag Studio and Northstar Entertainment also receives direct support from Warner Music Indonesia as the music label representing MALIQ. The band, which was established on May 15, 2002, will perform the album set of CMFIL? in the spirit of Madness In Every City!.
"The experience will revolve around the new album and also the development that MALIQ has undergone over the past year since the 20th Anniversary Concert last year. Now it's D’Essentials' turn in other cities, and of course, friends in Jakarta are also welcome to come to the nearest city," said Sarah Deshita, Co-Founder of Jagjag Studio, in a written statement on Friday (30/8).

This is not just a promotional event for the new songs in MALIQ & D’Essentials' latest album, but it also marks the first moment for Angga Puradiredja, Indah Wisnuwardhana, Widi Puradiredja, Jawa, Lale, and Ilman Ibrahim to go on tour and meet a growing number of new listeners over the past 2 years.
“This is MALIQ's first tour in 22 years of work. Previously, we often visited various regions, but not for an album tour. This is truly the first time MALIQ is doing an album tour in several cities in the form of a special concert. The performance duration is also very different,” said MALIQ & D’Essentials drummer, Widi Puradiredja.
“Usually we play for 1 hour, this time it might be around 2 hours or more, performing over 20 songs, with special arrangements complete with visual packaging and lighting. For sure, this concept has never been presented in the cities we usually visit,” he continued.
Widi also emphasized that all songs on the album CMFIL? will be performed live while still including material from the band's previous albums. This is done to ensure the concert remains dynamic, as not everyone may know and memorize all the new songs by MALIQ & D’Essentials.
In addition, this tour is organized so that MALIQ can interact directly with fans to celebrate their success over more than 2 decades of work.
“We hope this tour is a great success in all the scheduled cities. If the response from fans is positive, we will definitely consider adding more cities in the future. The main thing is, we really want to bring MALIQ & D'Essentials' music to more places and make their live experience enjoyable for more people across Indonesia,” he concluded.
