Ready to Pursue a Career in the Professional Music World, Janita Gabriela Releases Debut Single 'Kukira Selamanya'
Interested in the world of music since childhood, Janita's vocal talent apparently runs in her family, most of whom are musicians.
Kapanlagi.com - Two Indonesian musicians have once again made a name for themselves in the international music scene. They are Samrei and Fortebeats, whose works were released by Astralwerks Record based in New York, United States.
Samrei is a young producer who has just finished his song titled Show Me. Meanwhile, Forbeats arranged the song Perfect Stranger by Jobas Blue. Samrei and Fortebeats have a great opportunity for their music mixes to be heard by music lovers all over the world.
This opportunity did not come without a struggle. This is the result of their success in the Electronic Music Producer Contest (EMPC) 2022. Samrei was the first winner, while Forbeats became the remix winner.
Samrei said that the process of making a single was very challenging because he set high standards. This is because this single project will be alongside the works of international musicians under the auspices of Astralwerks Record.
"I put pressure on myself because later this song will be included in Astralwerks along with their cool songs, so I have to be total in making this work." That's why I made the work as perfect as possible. “Show Me You Miss Me” emphasizes sound design, in addition to arrangement and composition, elements of Disco, Funk and Synthwave were also added with various modulation effects so that the song and music will have a unique character,” explained Samrei.
Show Me tells the story of someone's heartbreak and longing for love. Samrei said he and Astralwerks brainstormed by trying something unusual like combining sad and melancholic lyrics with upbeat and groovy music. “Although the lyrics are heartbroken, the music is still a bit enthusiastic so it will be fun to listen to,” added Samrei.
Samrei has its own impression when collaborating with world-class record label Astralwerks. Professionalism in generating creative ideas makes Samrei shine in working on this project.
"Astralwerks is very unique, the way they write songs, brainstorm or exchange ideas, and the workflow they apply is very efficient. However, in the midst of serious work, Astralwerks is also skilled at keeping our session and mood fun. They let us process creatively. This is what makes this collaboration a success. I am very proud because I have been producing for about seven years and finally can release a single under the name of a world-class music label. Thank you ICEPERIENCE, thank you Astralwerks," said Samrei again.
Meanwhile, Fortebeats has its own story when he remixed the hit single by Jonas Blue Perfect Stranger which was booming about 6 years ago. Not wanting to be trapped in the grandeur of music on the second single from Jonas Blue's debut album, Fortebeats emphasizes the house music element that has been his signature and characteristic throughout his career in the electronic music stage.
"My version of Perfect Stranger is an equally exciting interpretation of the original version. Of course, Fortebeats version mixes the touch of house music that has a track record of evolution for decades. I am sure I can give my best," explained Fortebeats.
Meanwhile, ICEPERIENCE.ID Representative, Sigit Diapsoputra congratulated the winners and hoped that their success at the beginning of their careers would serve as a foundation for realizing their big dreams on the electronic music stage in Indonesia and at the world level.
"Hopefully, the achievements of Samrei and Fortebeats will serve as a trigger for other participants to continue creating their best work. Congratulations to the EMPC 2022 champions. We see Samrei as the 1st Winner and Fortebeats as the remix winner because from the beginning of the process, both have great potential for success. On the one hand, Samrei is considered an active, creative, and productive producer. While Fortebeats is a producer with a wealth of achievements and high flying hours in his field," said Sigit.
EMPC has become a routine annual agenda of ICEPERIENCE.ID to facilitate talented electronic musicians in the country. By maintaining the spirit and educating young Indonesian talents in producing music, EMPC also always collaborates with international music labels and famous artists.
