Meha Ready to Steal Attention with Her First EP 'Love Never Wrong'

Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian music scene continues to pulse with the emergence of new talents, one of which is Meha. This 21-year-old singer begins her career by releasing her first Extended Play (EP) titled Love Never Wrong, which is hoped to lead her to fame.

Meha, whose full name is Mehalepi NR, is no stranger to the music world despite her young age. At the age of 11, she already launched her first single titled Let It Be.

Now, with an EP consisting of six songs and one duet version, she narrates stories of love and friendship that are close to everyday life.

"I chose this song and added 1 duet version because the songs really relate to the people around me," said Meha during the EP launch at Gunawarman, South Jakarta, on Friday (10/4/2024).

"I believe this will also resonate with all my friends who listen to this EP, and I hope all music lovers in Indonesia will enjoy it," she added.

As an active student at STARKI (Tarakanita) and a loyal fan of the band Viera, Meha revealed that during the process of creating this EP, she was supported by several experienced musicians. Names like Karry Goro, Nina Kusumadewi, Merry Alesis, and Dimas Pradipta contributed to creating quality songs.

2. There Are Seven Songs

The EP Cinta Tak Pernah Salah includes seven songs, including Ada Rasa, Tak Pernah Salah, Turun Dari Langit, Hadapi, Daku Sekarat, Bahagia, and the bonus track Tak Pernah Salah sung with Shayan Malik. Each song carries themes that are close to the lives of today's youth.

Meha explained that the single Daku Sekarat was chosen as the flagship song because it has a deep message and a catchy hook. "This song makes people want to listen to it again and again after the first time," she added.

With the release of this EP, Meha hopes to enrich the musical landscape of Indonesia and reach the hearts of music lovers in the country. She wants to bring a new color and be part of the increasingly diverse music development.
