Not About Love, Apple Mint Releases Latest Work Titled 'Happy Without Me'

Kapanlagi.com - Newcomer band Apple Mint has just released their latest work titled Happy Without Me. This single is the third song from the band, which is led by Bianura Azka Ghifari, Ryan Winter, and Lorenzo Gibbs.

With the release of their third work, the Apple Mint members feel very grateful. Especially Bianura Azka feels the support for the three of them to consistently create without playing around.

"The three of us are very grateful because many people have come and supported us in this latest single," said Bianura Azka when met at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, recently.

1. Give Different Treats

In this song Happy Without Me, Apple Mint offers a different treat from their previous two singles, Apple Three and On The Way Home. The theme carried in the song Happy Without Me can be said to be very different from their previous two songs.

"In the single Apple Three, we focus more on love songs but not sad ones. Then On The Way Home is about someone who is lonely and confused," said Bianura Azka.

"If this song (Happy Without Me) is about loss, but the way we present it in this song is happy even though the lyrics are sad," she added.

2. Relate to Many People's Lives

On the same occasion, Lorenzo Gibbs added that this song will relate to the lives of many people who pretend to be happy. In fact, deep sadness may be experienced after losing a loved one.

"Many people in this world are actually sad, but they try to cover it up with cheerfulness. Around us, there may also be people like that, but we don't know because they are pretending to be happy when on the inside they are actually sad," said Lorenzo.

3. Initial Ideas for Music Video

Lorenzo also explained the initial ideas for the production of the music video for the song Happy Without Me. He said that it was their agreement to give a different atmosphere and meaning to this new work.

"The initial idea we wanted to show in the music video was just having fun. So, there's one person who is heartbroken, and then their two friends cheer them up. But in the end, we thought it was too simple, so it ended up looking like an advertisement," explained Lorenzo.

"So, we tried to think of how to make a music video that is more meaningful and still makes sense with the song, that still blends together, and finally, this music video was created," he concluded.
