Orchestra Concert in the Middle of the Forest, Forestra 2025 Brings Music, Nature, and Environmental Mission

Kapanlagi.com - The largest cross-genre orchestral music festival in the middle of the forest, Forestra 2025, is set to take place on August 30 at Orchid Forest Cikole, Lembang–Bandung. This year, Forestra will present a richer musical and visual experience through a special collaboration with the Erwin Gutawa Orchestra, along with a magnificent stage designed by Jay Subyakto that combines aesthetics and the beauty of nature.

Presented by ABM, Forestra 2025 not only features a lineup of cross-genre musicians but also brings innovations in the form of creative activations and environmental care programs. Big names such as Reza Artamevia, Sal Priadi, Voice of Baceprot, The SIGIT, The Panturas, and Oom Leo Berkaraoke will perform, including experimental performances from Raja Kirik, Ensemble Tikoro, and Iksan Skuter.

Every element of the performance is arranged with a strong narrative that merges with the landscape of the pine forest. Jay Subyakto is once again trusted as the Creative Director. He explains the philosophy behind the design of the Forestra stage.

"The Forestra stage is designed to give space for nature to 'speak' as well. I did not design it to dominate the landscape, but to engage in a dialogue with the forest," he stated during a press conference in Cikole, Bandung, Wednesday (2/7).

1. Main Magnet

The musical side of Forestra also serves as a main magnet, with an artistic approach led directly by Erwin Gutawa. One of the most anticipated performances is by The SIGIT.

"We come from Bandung, but we rarely have a space like this— a stage in the middle of the forest, in our own city. It feels like coming home, but in a completely new way," said Rekti Yoewono, the vocalist and guitarist of The SIGIT.

In response to the high public enthusiasm, Forestra 2025 presents the Early Day ticket category, which allows visitors to enter the performance area earlier. Visitors can enjoy the forest atmosphere from the afternoon and participate in music discussion sessions with Kiki Ucup, Boit (Omuniuum), and Microgram Entertainment. This area will also feature the "Bio-plant Sonic" concert by Bottlesmoker, which combines plant sounds with electronic music.

2. Partnering with Greenpeace Indonesia

Forestra also reinforces its commitment to environmental issues by partnering again with Greenpeace Indonesia. A portion of the ticket sales will be used for a women's empowerment program on Pari Island, which is affected by the climate crisis. This program will focus on the development of alternative agriculture with solar-powered irrigation systems.

In a short time, the Harmoni 2 and Simfoni (Presale 1 & 2) ticket categories have completely sold out. Currently, Simfoni tickets (Presale 3) are still available at a price of Rp685,000, while Early Bird tickets can be purchased for Rp395,000.
