Pay Tribute to Sheila Majid, Rossa Recycles the Song 'Sinaran'

The decision to choose the song Sinaran is certainly not without reason. For Rossa, this song has a very personal meaning and is a form of tribute to her idol.

"Yes, why did I choose Sinaran? Because for me, the song Sinaran is one of the most legendary works in the history of Malaysian music, and Kak Sheila Majid is a senior that I have admired for a long time," said Rossa when contacted by the media.

"So through this, I want to pay tribute to one of my role models and inspirations in music," she added.

This Asmara Dansa project was born from Rossa's sincere desire to reintroduce the beauty of classic songs to the younger generation. She hopes that with a new, more up-to-date arrangement, these songs can become relevant again and be enjoyed by today's children.

"I want good old songs to continue being played for the current generation. Asmara Dansa is my way of introducing the beauty of old music with a new vibe so that it can be more relevant to today's music,” said Rossa.

In addition to Sinaran, this mini album also features two other legendary songs from Chrisye, namely Serasa and Juwita, which have also been rearranged with a dance-pop vibe by Dipha Barus.

To celebrate the release of this special project, Rossa will hold a roadshow in four major cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya, starting next November.

Asmara Dansa is proof that Rossa never stops evolving. She continues to seek new ways to maintain her relevance in the music industry while still paying tribute to the legends who have inspired her.
