Kapanlagi.com - The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all sectors of society, including cafe musicians. Obviously, due to this pandemic, they have no income because cafes are forced to close. Seeing this situation, JAK TV is interested in creating a program to help cafe musicians, namely POSe Musikcafe Festival.

There are eight new programs on JAK TV that will be aired soon, and one of them is POSe Musikcafe Festival. The POSe Musikcafe Festival program is in collaboration with Pos Entertainment.

1. Platform for Cafe Singers

According to JakTV's Operational Director, Sony Soemarsono, the POSe Musikcafe Festival program was intentionally created so that cafe singers can resume their activities.

"So, this is a form of JakTV's concern for cafe musicians affected by the pandemic, we present this program. One of them is a unique music program, our music charity with POSe. We invite cafe musicians because cafes are directly affected, so when cafes close, job opportunities for musicians disappear," said Sony Soemarsono, JakTV's Operational Director, in a virtual press conference on Friday (18/9/2020).

2. Through Auditions

Before performing at the POSe Musikcafe Festival, cafe musicians audition to perform songs from international and local bands, such as The Beatles, Queen, U2, Slank, and Dewa19.

"What's interesting is that each episode of the POSe Musikcafe Festival will feature famous guest artists, such as Andra Ramadhan, Andy/rif, Ridho Slank, Ivanka Slank, Ipang Lazuardi, Deddy Lisan (Andra & The Backbone), and Oppie Andaresta.

"Yes, so this is an event that serves as a platform for cafe musicians where we provide a way out to continue their activities and music. This audition is to provide confidence in how far they can perform. Initially, there were 38 candidates from Jabodetabek, and we filtered them further," Dhanny Pete.

3. Presenting New Works

POSe Musikcafe Festival program airs on JAK TV every Sunday at 22.00 WIB. According to /RiF band vocalist who is also a former cafe singer, Andy expressed his happiness with the POSe Musikcafe Festival program. Andy hopes that through the POSe Musikcafe Festival, cafe musicians can present new works.

"I am happy that cafe musicians are given a platform and a chance to perform. They miss the stage, just like me. Hopefully, after this cover, they can introduce their own songs so that they can be known by many people," concluded Andy /RiF.
