Presenting the 90s Music Concept, Rudy Nugraha Releases Debut Album 'CLBK' After Leaving Caffeine Band

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Rudy Nugraha releases his debut album titled CLBK (Cinta Logika Beragam Kisah - Various Stories of Logical Love). This album marks his first step as a solo singer after leaving the Caffeine band. Under the label Anak Bangsa Berkreasi (ABB), CLBK contains seven songs, all written by Salman Alfarizi, with the main theme revolving around love.

"The title of the album is CLBK, in line with the 90s music concept. It's quite popular during that era, the term CLBK. So, in the end, the team and the label agreed to name the album Cinta Logika Beragam Kisah, which consists of seven songs," said Rudy Nugraha when met at the ABB office in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Thursday (5/10/2023).

1. Already Intended to Make During the Pandemic

Actually, Rudy Nugraha's desire to release a work as a solo singer has long existed, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Then, in 2021, he met with the label Anak Bangsa Berkreasi. From there, the desire to make a solo album came true.

"This was my intention during the pandemic from 2020 to 2021, not doing anything. After that, I really wanted to release, meaning to create my catalog, my playlist, so I finally had the desire to make a solo album at that time," he said.

"Finally, time passed and suddenly in 2021, I met friends from Anak Bangsa Berkreasi. My intention was indeed my dedication of 25 years (in music) to have something solo," he added.

2. Worked on for Quite a Long Time

The process of working on the album CLBK took quite a long time, about nine months. Rudy explained that one of the reasons for the length of the process was because at that time, the ABB label was focused on film production. In addition, Rudy was also busy with activities outside the music world.

"Approximately nine months. Maybe at that time, Anak Bangsa Berkreasi was focused on films. And initially, I was offered to make a single for a film soundtrack. From there, the production started," he concluded.

Despite experiencing some obstacles, Rudy Nugraha successfully completed the CLBK album well. This album is not only available on digital platforms but also has a music video that can be watched on the Anak Bangsa Berkreasi Records YouTube channel.
