Produced by Posan Tobing, Singer Icha Releases Single 'Aku Masih Mencintaimu'

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Icha Yang has released her latest song titled Aku Masih Mencintaimu. In this project, Icha collaborated with producer and songwriter, Posan Tobing.

Icha revealed that this collaboration process did not happen easily. In fact, Icha had to undergo a series of vocal tests beforehand. According to Icha, Posan is very selective in choosing the singer to perform his song.

“Actually, I'm destined to work with Posan. When we first met, it was not immediately okay, I had to be tested by Posan first. Because he is very selective in creating songs for people,” said Icha Yang when met in the Rawamangun area, East Jakarta, on Friday (3/11/2023).

“As for the payment, he said it could be anything. The process took a long time because we were both busy. So when I was available, Posan was busy, and vice versa,” added Icha Yang.

Posan Tobing, as the producer, explains the reason behind his diligence in selecting singers. According to him, collaboration with singers should be based on excellent quality. After hearing Icha's voice, Posan immediately became interested and convinced that Icha has great potential.

"Honestly, there are many singers from his label who come to me asking to create a song. But I reject many of them because they lack quality. I don't want that because I want the song I create to harmonize with the singer so that the result is amazing," said Posan on the same occasion.

The song "Aku Masih Mencintaimu" tells the story of two individuals who have separated but find that their love still burns, even though time has passed. Thanks to her extraordinary talent and vocal quality, Icha successfully overcomes the difficulties in this song.

Through the single Aku Masih Mencintaimu (I Still Love You), Posan Tobing is optimistic about Icha's future career in the Indonesian music industry. Moreover, according to Posan, Icha Yang is one of the talented singers.

"She (Icha Yang) is a talented singer. She can sing pop, dangdut, and Mandarin songs. Not all singers can sing Mandarin songs in Indonesia at her young age, but she can even though she doesn't have any Chinese blood. I want to bring her into the industry through my song, I want to make her the successor of Tiara Andini," he said.

In addition to Aku Masih Mencintaimu, Posan Tobing also plans to collaborate with Icha on other projects. In his effort to train Icha, Posan is determined to make her a quality solo singer.

"We also need regeneration for female solo singers. For me, whether she becomes a hit or not is just a bonus. What's important is that she has to be cool and good. I don't want her to become an instant artist," Posan concluded.
