Rafly Abidin Dedicates His New Single to His Wife

Kapanlagi.com - The name Muhammad Rafly Abidin, or commonly known as Rafly Abidin, is well-known as the bassist and vocalist of the band The Banery. Now, trying his luck in the Indonesian music industry, Rafly releases a solo single under the Playlist Entertainment label.

Milikku Milikmu is the solo single released by Rafly. This song tells the story of someone's love journey from dating to becoming husband and wife. The song is a personal experience of Rafly Abidin, presented as a beautiful love song with a distinctive pop rock sound, without being too mushy.

"This song is created and dedicated specifically to my beloved wife," said Rafly.

1. Different from Band Songs

With strong vocal character in this song, the difference between Rafly with the band and as a soloist will be clearly seen. The recording process was done at R.A.F Studio, which is Rafly Abidin's studio in the Sawangan area. All instruments were played by him except (lead guitar), for the recording process entrusted to his younger brother Ray Syarif (ILP, Carnivored), and the Mixing Mastering process entrusted to Rangga Corda (MixGarage).

The recording process took approximately two months, and this recording is actually for an EP, one of the songs is the one that will be released as Mine Yours.

"I'm really happy that this single is finally released after a lot of struggles in its making," said Rafli.

One interesting thing during the recording process is the way Rafly plays the guitar and bass. Different from his usual habit, Rafly plays with his left hand. Apparently, he did it intentionally to get better results.

"The sound is more unique and can be better with the bass played left-handed," he said.

Rafly Abidin hopes that this song can represent the feelings of all couples in this world, to be able to feel love through a song that is pleasant to listen to and enjoyed throughout the ages.
