Recording the Song 'Satu Satu' Again, Iwan Fals Reveals That the Song Was Created for Family

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Iwan Fals re-recorded one of the songs from the album Orang Gila, namely Satu Satu. Clearly, this latest version of the song Satu Satu is very different from the original version.

In addition to the arrangement, Iwan Fals collaborated with three talented young musicians, namely Rendy Pandugo, Petra Sihombing, and Baskara (Hindia). Iwan Fals said that the song, released in 1994, was made about family life.

At that time, Iwan Fals always imagined his children, Cikal and Galang Rambu Anarki, when he went to the music store to buy cassette tapes.

"Actually, the essence of the song satu satu is about family, about my young children, I went to the music store. Then I imagined my children, about family. There happened to be a falling leaf," said Iwan Fals in a virtual press conference on Thursday (12/8/2021).

Now, the singer with the real name Virgiawan Listanto has recorded the song Satu Satu in a collaboration project initiated by Indosat Ooredoo. This collaboration is also to celebrate the independence day of Indonesia with the campaign name United for Freedom.

"Suddenly, a big theme like this comes up and we help each other. If the values of family in the process of helping disappear, how would it feel? We reflect on the family values in addressing our common concerns," said Iwan Fals.

Baskara, one of the young singers involved in this collaboration, said that he is very happy to be able to collaborate with one of the living legends of Indonesian singers.

"Who wouldn't want to collaborate with Uncle Iwan, this has been my dream since I was a child. Of course, everyone would want to," concluded Baskara.
