Kapanlagi.com - Semarang-based music group, Powerslaves, rearranges their song titled Impian. One of the songs included in Powerslaves' debut album, Metal Kecil, released 25 years ago. Through the song "Impian", Powerslaves' name instantly soared in the Indonesian music industry.
This song was recorded through their own label. Therefore, the band consisting of Heydi Ibrahim (vocals), Anwar Fatahillah (bass), Wiwiex Soedarno (keyboard), and Agung Yudha (drums) decided to re-record this song to include it in the album The Best.
Powerslaves didn't change the song Impian too much. However, there is an addition of orchestral elements that make this song more majestic, and there are some accents that are strengthened to support the composition of the song.
"With the advancement of technology and our more mature musical abilities, there is an addition of orchestra that makes this Impian feel more majestic. In the original version, there was none," said Wiwiex Soedarno on Wednesday (19/8/2020).
"Even though with digital technology, but we still apply analog patterns in the recording process to get maximum results," added Wiwiex.

In addition to the addition of orchestra, in this song Impian, the voice of the vocalist, Heydi Ibrahim, is much more mature.
"The noticeable difference is clear in Heydi's voice, where it now sounds thicker and more mature in processing falsetto notes. Heydi's vocals are now better and more 'captivating' in expressing the song," said Anwar Fatahillah.
The latest version of the song 'Impian' has been available on various digital platforms since August 19, 2020. In addition to re-releasing the song 'Impian', Powerslaves will also hold a LIVE STREAMING CONCERT titled 'Tetap Merdeka' on August 22, 2020.
The concert, which will be broadcasted on the Powerslaves YouTube channel at 8:00 PM Western Indonesian Time, will be held at Javent Rooftop, PT Jasa Swadaya Utama (Jayatama) Building.
To realize this LIVE STREAMING CONCERT, Heydi Ibrahim and his team invite fans to become sponsors. The names of the sponsors will be displayed in the running text during the concert.
This is Powerslaves' second streaming concert since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Previously, they performed at the DSS MUSIC 7 RUANG Concert on July 5.
