Kapanlagi.com - After releasing the song Misanthropy, indie dream pop band Joko in Berlin has now released its lyric video. Since July 9th, fans of the band led by Mellita Sarah (vocal & song writer), Fran Rabit (bass & song writer), Popo Fauza (keyboard, composer, arranger & music producer), and Marlond Telvord (drums) can enjoy the Misanthropy lyric video.
Unlike before, the keyboardist, Popo Fauza, explained that the release of the Misanthropy lyric video is a new habit of Joko in Berlin. Previously, they only released music videos for the singles they released. With the presence of this lyric video, it is hoped that Joko in Berlin fans can get to know their work better.
"With the existence of this lyric video, fans can better understand the meaning of the song Misanthropy and also sing along wherever and in whatever condition. Because this song is dedicated to those who need extra energy in times like now," said Popo.

The Misanthropy lyric video features simple yet meaningful visuals of a two-sided glass window. On one side, the vocalist, Mellita, stands motionless with one hand pressed against the glass. On the other side, the Misanthropy lyrics appear in a handwritten font style that alternates with the music.
The 3-minute and 35-second video received positive responses from music enthusiasts in the country. Many flooded the comment section, praising the song and lyric video, and considering Joko in Berlin's work to have an international taste.

Misanthropy itself tells about the condition of someone who has an introverted soul and wants to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The word Misanthropy has a deep philosophy, taken from the Greek language, which means hatred of the world. The idea of creating Misanthropy originated from the similarity of the fourth personnel of Joko in Berlin who have a closed attitude and do not want to get too involved in the hustle and bustle of the world. Previously, Joko in Berlin has released three official music videos for the singles Beauteous, Senja, and Euphoria. They filmed in several countries in Europe, namely the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovenia, as well as the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan.
Joko in Berlin is now preparing to spoil music lovers with new high-quality works. They are committed to releasing one new single every month throughout 2020, starting from May to December. Joko in Berlin plans to launch eight new songs.
Currently, the members of Joko in Berlin are undergoing a workshop process. The eight new songs ready to be released will present different music colors and moods, just like their previous works. This is because Joko in Berlin wants listeners to experience something new every time they enjoy the entire song.
"In every JIB song, we always provide a different and unique sound. Like in Misanthropy, there is a ukulele guitar riff in the intro. And that ukulele part can also be found in the song Senja.
