Release EP Growing, Aruma Includes a Song for an Ex-Boyfriend

Kapanlagi.com-Talented young soloist, Aruma, has just released an EP titled Growing under the auspices of Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI). Consisting of five songs, Aruma includes one song written for her ex-boyfriend.

Among the five songs featured in the EP Growing, three of them have been released, namely, Muak, Ekspektasi, and Hilang Kendali. Meanwhile, the two new singles are titled Tunggu Sebentar and Rindu Berjatuhan.

The song Tunggu Sebentar is a song by Aruma dedicated to her then boyfriend. The song tells the story of a couple in a Long Distance Relationship (LDR).

"Actually, this song is based on my experience. I used to have a partner, a boyfriend, but we just broke up. We were in an LDR," said Aruma in the Ampera area, South Jakarta, not long ago.

"Unfortunately, when EP Growing and the single Tunggu Sebentar were released, Aruma's relationship with her boyfriend had already ended. "I actually wrote it when we were still dating. I was in an LDR with my ex, and it was released after we broke up," continued Aruma.

Aruma also admitted that her ex knows about the song Tunggu Sebentar that was written for him. But, currently Aruma no longer knows the condition of her ex because they have lost contact.

"He knows, because when I wrote it, I said this song is for you. Now we've lost contact," she said.

2. Very Emotional

The five songs in the EP Bertumbuh feel very emotional for Aruma because they are full of melancholic nuances. Interestingly, she did not feel melancholic during the process of making the EP. However, when the EP was released, she just started feeling melancholic because she had just broken up with her boyfriend.

"These are all melancholic songs, but back then I wasn't feeling melancholic at all. So when it was released, I felt like it was perfect timing, I felt very emotional today," she said.

Aruma hopes that the EP Bertumbuh will be appreciated by Indonesian music lovers. Especially since there is a song in the EP that she wrote herself.

"I hope it is appreciated. Especially since there is my own work in this album, I hope the songs I wrote will be appreciated," said Aruma.
