Release Fourth Single, Winaya Tells the Story of Relationship Discomfort Through Your Song Like Me

Kapanlagi.com - Young soloist under Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI), Winaya, is back with his fourth single titled 'Wangimu Seperti Aku' (Your Song Like Me). Previously, Winaya released a single in February 2023 titled 'Sudah Jalannya' (The Path Has Already Passed).

'Wangimu Seperti Aku' is a creation by Barsena that tells the story of someone's grievances who feels uncomfortable in their relationship. The condition is described as someone being too close to their partner and not having room to grow.

Although it talks about the turmoil in a relationship, 'Wangimu Seperti Aku' does not use melancholic tones. Instead, the song presents a cheerful atmosphere.

"So, the single 'Wangimu Seperti Aku' tells the story of someone's grievances who feels like they have lost their identity because they are too close to their partner. They feel the need for space to grow and become a complete individual with all their unique qualities," said Winaya when met in South Jakarta on Thursday (23/5).

"This song has the power in its lyrics and unique arrangement. Although it has a deep message, the vibe it presents is cheerful, but there is still a feeling of reflection when listening to it. So, it's full of grievances, but all of that comes from our feelings because we love our partner," he continued.

Almost a year has passed since the release of the third and fourth singles by Winaya. Not only was it a long time, but there is a story behind it. This artist, who cares about animal welfare, admits to having some difficulty in finding a suitable song outside of their own compositions.

"Fortunately, I was assisted by the A&R team at Sony Music who searched for a song for my fourth single, and I got 'Wangimu Seperti Aku' (Your Voice Like Me). From the moment I heard it, I immediately liked it because it suited my vocal style. The lyrics tell a story that makes me feel like I can put my soul into this song. When releasing a song, I always want it to have benefits and values that can be taken. 'Wangimu Seperti Aku' is one of them," she explained.
