Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta Street Jazz Festival (JSJF) 2024 was successfully held. The music festival organized by Liberty Productions held a spectacular concert in Falatehan, Blok M, South Jakarta.
The jazz music legends were not hesitant to adorn the stage on the streets of Blok M, mingling with passersby or intentionally stopping by to enjoy the performances.
Various big names in the world of jazz music enlivened this event, ranging from Candra Darusman, Andien, Tompi, to Fariz RM and several other musicians. The event was also enlivened by band performances such as Gugun Blues Shelter, as well as various supporting events such as Dance Parade, Percussions, and even the presence of Ondel-ondel and Tanjidor supported by the Jakarta Provincial Government's Department of Culture.
"JSJF 2024 provides a space for Jazz musicians to create and entertain the community on weekends. Moreover, this music festival offers a different concept, featuring performances on the sidewalk or public areas to entertain the community directly," said Managing Director of Liberty Productions, Andi Anita S Suthpin during the event, Sunday (5/5/2024).
According to Andi Anita S Suthpin, the concept of JSJF 2024 is inspired by the tradition of jazz musicians in the United States who often perform in public places, including on the streets. With free and all-day events, Blok M was chosen because it is a busy route for people.
"Dozens of jazz musicians who participate are guaranteed to give their best performances so that the public can be entertained and become more familiar with jazz music, and we also hope that this event can be held again next year and become a regular event every year," said Anita.
JSJF 2024 is also appreciated by its main sponsor, Pertamina, as an environmental campaign to promote clean, healthy, and green air.
"The hope is that JSJF 2024 can be an alternative entertainment for the community, spreading positive messages in a fun way, and providing a space for jazz musicians to be creative," she concluded.
