Release of the Single 'Cangcorang', Duo Youshi Touches on the Nature of a Womanizer

Kapanlagi.com - The music scene in the country is always vibrant with new musicians. This time, there's Duo Youshi consisting of Yuni Youshi (30) and Shinta Youshi (23). Before joining together as a duo, both were already active as dangdut singers and had released several singles solo.

In 2024, the two siblings decided to unite to form a duo and release their first single titled Congcorang.

Congcorang was created by Surabigelo and tells the story of a womanizer. Just like a Congcorang (mantis), there is always a desire, with long arms wanting to control everything.

The lyrics of the song depict how men are like Cangcorang, their eyes bulging when they see an attractive woman. Whether the woman is plump or slim, both make their eyes bulge.

Although the lyrics satirize the philandering nature of men, Duo Youshi presents the song Cangcorang humorously so that the song can be enjoyed by all audiences and does not offend but rather amuses with the typical Sundanese lyrics they deliver.

2. Promoting Sundanese Culture

In addition to using the Sundanese language, another special aspect of this song is the music, which incorporates traditional Sundanese musical instruments. By bringing a lot of Sundanese culture, Duo Youshi hopes this single Cangcorang can open doors for them in the Indonesian music scene.
