Kapanlagi.com - The 90's Festival held at Jiexpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (11/8/2024), became a nostalgic event for music lovers of the 90s era. One of the bands that managed to capture attention on the second day of this festival is Rumahsakit, a band that has long been an icon in the Indonesian music scene.
Rumahsakit, now consisting of Muhammad Arief Bakrie (vocals), Marky Najoan (guitar), Mickey Najoan (keyboard), Fadli Wardhana (drums), and Shendy Adam (bass), started their performance on the Super Music stage around 18:15 WIB. A warm welcome from the audience was immediately heard as they took the stage.
Without wasting any time, Rumahsakit opened their performance with the song "Hilang". It didn't take long for the audience filling the stage area to get lost in the music, singing along with great enthusiasm. After "Hilang", Rumahsakit continued their performance with other hit songs that were already familiar to the audience's ears.
"Good evening 90's Festival 2024, we have been waiting for a long time, finally it has come true, thank God. The next song is still from the old album titled "Sakit Sendiri," said Muhammad Arief Bakrie to the audience from the stage.
The warmth and closeness between the band and the audience became increasingly palpable as their performance progressed. In addition to the excellent music, Rumahsakit's performance was also supported by stunning stage design and lighting.
Rumahsakit's performance that night not only succeeded in evoking memories but also demonstrated that they remain relevant and loved by various generations. Even as time goes on, their spirit and the quality of their music never fade.
"Thank you so much for coming to this stage, coincidentally we have also reached 30 years this year, Alhamdulillah, and it seems we are still accepted by Gen Z," said Arief.
Before singing the song "Sandiwara Semu", Arief also announced that Rumahsakit will hold a celebration event for their 30th anniversary next November. At the end of their performance, Rumahsakit sang the single "Pop Kinetik" and closed with the song "Kuning".
"Next November, Rumahsakit wants to hold a gig for our 30th anniversary," concluded Arief.
