Interestingly, the lyrics of this song are inspired by the story of its singers, Arvia and Safia. These two teenage girls, who have been friends since elementary school, were separated for several years.

This separation made them feel a great sense of loss. Separated by distance and time for quite a long time, their friendship was rekindled after Arvia returned to Indonesia.

“The song 'If Only' talks about loss, and this song is inspired by our real-life story of being apart for several years,” Safia revealed in a written statement on Monday (5/8).

For the production process, Kevin Aprilio acted as the producer. It took about three months, and for DeVFias, the song they sang felt very challenging compared to their previous songs.

“Because this is a new song, not like our previous single which was recycled from Vierratale. So we really did a workshop from scratch to get the feel of the song,” said Arvia.

For the music video, DeVFias portrays the story of someone who is left by their friend to study temporarily in another city. The theme of the music video is also aligned with the song's title about the farewell between friends.

Moreover, for DeVFias, being able to collaborate again with Kevin Aprilio is a stroke of luck. This collaboration is also what makes these two teenage girls serious and very enthusiastic about working on their creation.

“It’s a joy and a blessing to collaborate again with Kevin for the second single because a special song has been made for DeVFias,” said Safia.

Through the single "Andai" DeVFias wants to convey to his fans to remain optimistic and not lose hope when experiencing a separation.

“For those who have experienced a separation from a friend or loved one, you must stay enthusiastic and always remember their goodness, and most importantly, you must move on,” he remarked.

As information, previously, DeVFias also released a debut single titled 'Sahabat' in 2022. With a pop music style, he hopes to revitalize the music industry in the homeland, especially among young people.
