Appreciation for the Progress of Indonesian Basketball, Govinda Presents the Indonesian Basketball Anthem Together with PP Perbasi

Kapanlagi.com - Govinda band has the opportunity to create and perform the Indonesian Basketball Anthem. Together with PP Perbasi, Govinda presents an anthem that can serve as motivation for Indonesian basketball enthusiasts.

“It is a pride and honor for us, Govinda, to be able to give appreciation to PP PERBASI with a song, the Indonesian Basketball Anthem,” explained Ade Govinda.

According to the vocalist, Ifan, the presence of this anthem is a form of appreciation from Govinda for Indonesian basketball, which has achieved remarkable accomplishments in recent years.

For instance, the gold medal won by the Men's National Basketball Team in the 5on5 category at the Sea Games in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2021, along with a silver medal in 5on5 and a bronze in 3x3 basketball. In the same year, the women's 3x3 basketball team also successfully secured third place in the Asian Championship in Singapore.

Additionally, Indonesia successfully hosted the FIBA ASIA CUP 2022 and garnered global attention as the host of the FIBA BASKETBALL WORLD CUP 2023.

"With all the achievements of Indonesian basketball recently, we think it is time for us to give appreciation. This song is our tribute to Indonesian basketball," stated Ifan at a press conference in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (8/8).

This anthem was created by Ade Govinda. Together with Govinda, the Indonesian basketball anthem is officially dedicated to PP PERBASI, with the hope that this anthem will serve as an encouragement in making history in the future.

“This Indonesian Basketball Anthem will be a mandatory song played during PERBASI championships and in the official agendas of PP PERBASI, such as the National Congress and other board meetings,” said Nirmala Dewi, the General Secretary of PP Perbasi.

The presence of this anthem is hoped to serve as a source of motivation, a symbol to celebrate victories, and also music that can unite feelings. That is why this Indonesian basketball anthem was created.

“Hopefully, this anthem will strengthen the unity of PP PERBASI in achieving better accomplishments. This anthem then transforms into a flame of spirit in competing for basketball enthusiasts in Indonesia wherever they are, and may this anthem also increase the love of the Indonesian people for Indonesian Basketball,” emphasized Ifan Govinda.
