Shabrina explains that being a singer is not just about having a good voice, but there is a huge demand for everything to appear perfect in front of the public. Shabrina reveals, "The audience and the judges don’t want to know anything that happens; what they know is that you need to sing your best." According to her, this demand often becomes a pressure for her, especially when she is facing personal problems that she cannot share with anyone. She admits that she has cried, felt angry, and even very down before going on stage, but she still has to show a cheerful face in front of the camera.

Shabrina also highlights that the creative process in the entertainment world is not as glamorous as people imagine. She mentions that singers are still humans who can feel hungry, sad, or tired, but they must remain professional. She felt this experience especially when participating in Indonesian Idol, a competition filled with talented musicians and enormous public expectations.

She entered the Indonesian Idol competition at the age of 24, "If I had joined when I was a teenager, I probably wouldn’t have been able to handle everything," she says. However, now she considers that everyone has their own timing and that a long journey is part of character building, "I used to think, why is my timing not here?" But it turns out this is indeed the time."

One of the most painful experiences for Shabrina is the comments about her physical appearance. During her time on Indonesian Idol, she often became a target of body shaming. Shabrina revealed, "I entered Idol weighing 80 kilos. I was the oldest and the heaviest." Additionally, she was often compared to other Idol winners who were considered more ideal, with some comments even labeling her as the 'winner who brought Idol down'.

Shabrina believes that some public expectations are influenced by K-pop culture, which sets the standard for Idols to be skinny, fair-skinned, and have a certain appearance. She expressed, "Indonesians are crazy about K-pop. So the expectation is that Idols must be skinny and perfect, while our body types are different." Despite this, she remains strong and is gradually learning to accept herself, not wanting to conform to standards set by others.

The support from her fans, known as 'Berbinar', has greatly helped her build her self-confidence. She shared that many of the outfits she wore during interviews were gifts from fans. "Why should I stop liking what I love just because people say they don’t like it?" she stated firmly.
