"I don't know if I want to release it or not. But after uploading the song Pegang Kendali, it actually gained traction. I was surprised, it felt like a path was opened for me," said Jesenn when met in South Jakarta recently.

The song Pegang Kendali is not just an ordinary work for Jesenn. This song was born from her personal experiences, which makes her feel very emotionally connected. It’s no wonder she calls this song the strongest reflection of herself as a musician.

"It really feels like it fits my life," she revealed.

"One of my contents gained traction again. I shared that I’ve been working since 2016 but haven’t had my path opened yet. In this song, I feel like I found my true color," she said.

However, amidst the euphoria, Jesenn was momentarily panicked by the actions of one of her fans. She found a comment from someone who uploaded an AI version of the song Pegang Kendali before its official release.

"I found one comment, they said, 'Sis, can I upload this song first, but using AI to replace the vocals?' Honestly, I felt a bit sad reading that," Jesenn said.

Jesenn emphasized that the action constitutes a copyright violation. Moreover, the song was created with deep feeling and dedication as a reflection of his life journey. Nevertheless, he responded wisely to this by making a clarification video.

"I've been thinking about the entire flow of the song, including from a marketing perspective. But suddenly it was pirated, which made me sad," he said.

Interestingly, the fan eventually apologized and admitted that they just wanted Jesenn to release the song soon because they had been looking forward to it for a long time. That apology actually made Jesenn feel appreciated and understood. He acknowledged that support like that is what makes him regain confidence to move forward.
