Slank's 37th Birthday, Presenting a Concert Video from the Past Never Before Released

Kapanlagi.com - In celebration of their 37th anniversary, the music group Slank held a live YouTube event titled "Slank Fest 2020" on Slank Musik channel on December 26 and 27, 2020.

On the first day, Slank only had four members present, namely Bimbim, Kaka, Ivan, and Abdee. Meanwhile, Ridho, Slank's guitarist, was unable to attend the event as he was undergoing self-isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19.

1. For the Good of All

"37 years of Slank, we're going online for the good of all of us. Ridho can't join us today, he's currently in self-quarantine. Even though it's online, we're still having fun together," said Bimbim.

At the event, Slank did not perform their hit songs. Instead, they watched several videos of bands and singers who covered Slank's songs.

2. Solo Singers

There are several bands and solo singers who were watched directly by the four members of Slank. They are Jinan, Old File, Friendkenstain, Peye, and Brockers Band. Clearly, they are bands and solo singers who were selected after being selected by Slank.

"We also want to see the winning cover videos that we competed in. Almost 500 videos entered. Then we chose 10 videos," said Bimbim.

3. There is a Documentary

In addition, Slank also watched a number of concert videos that were never released, where they performed in the 90s. From the concert videos of the past that they watched, the four members of Slank laughed at their actions on stage. Through these videos, Bimbim, Kaka, Ivan, and Abdee also shared stories about the videos they watched.

"This time at Slank Fest, we are not singing together, but we are watching together. We are playing the unreleased Slank memory videos. So there is a documentary that has never been released," said Bimbim.

4. Prayers and Wishes

During a one-hour live streaming on YouTube, the first day of the "Slank Fest" ended with a prayer led by Bimbim's mother, Bunda Iffet. There are many prayers and wishes that Slank wants on their 37th anniversary this year, one of which is for the pandemic to end soon.

"Tomorrow is still there. I hope we stay healthy, and the pandemic ends soon. Because if we live healthy and return to normal, we can do anything. Tomorrow we will continue at Slank Fest 2020," Bimbim concluded.

Slank Fest 2020 will continue on Sunday, December 27, 2020, on the Slank Musik YouTube channel. Similar to the first day, they will also feature a number of videos of bands and singers who have won covering Slank songs.
