Song 'Beruntung' Achieves One Million Streams, Jesenn Reveals Prayer Fulfilled Since 2020

Kapanlagi.com - Good news comes from young soloist, Jesenn. His single titled Beruntung, which was released in March 2023, has successfully gained one million listeners on Spotify. The music video for this song has also been watched by more than 170 thousand people.

This achievement is a realization of his dreams and prayers since a few years ago. In a Christmas service in 2020 towards 2021, Jesenn wrote down several of his wishes. One of them was to have a song that reached one million streams.

"I'm really happy, I feel like God heard my prayer, even though the timing of it is up to Him," said Jesenn.

"I just feel grateful to be in this music industry. Imagine if I had stopped in 2022. I wouldn't understand this moment anymore," he continued.

In 2022, she released an album titled Volume 1 and achieved considerable success with listeners in each of her songs. One of them is Berlabuh. However, unfortunately, it made Jesenn lack confidence in her musical abilities.

"It feels like I don't have a future in music," she said.

She even bid farewell to some of her friends because she thought of not continuing in music. When she felt at her lowest point, an A&R from SMEI contacted Jesenn through Instagram DM.

"I asked why, at the moment I stopped, God gave me this opportunity. So, I tried to surrender (not real surrender), well if this is what God wants, then I'll take it," she explained.

2. Will Continue to Create

Until now, Jesenn has officially joined SMEI and feels the best environment with a good manager. Not wanting to stop at this point, Jesenn admits that she will continue to create. She believes that with honesty in creating, the message she conveys through her songs can be well received by her listeners.

"In the future, I want to create with a sincere heart, so that listeners can feel the true meaning of what I write in the song. Hopefully, my songs can be useful for many people and become a good place to share, to cry, to express their feelings, and not feel alone in life," she concluded.
