Release of the Third Single, Yogie Nandes Remake 'Lewat Semesta' Owned by Randy Pangalila

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Yogie Nandes has released a new work. Yes, Yogie has released his third single titled Lewat Semesta. This song is familiar to music listeners in the country because Lewat Semesta is a song owned by Randy Pangalila that was popular around 2008.

Yogie has his own reasons why he decided to recycle the song Lewat Semesta and release it as his third single. For Yogie, Lewat Semesta is still his favorite song until now.

This artist from Bukittinggi, West Sumatra submitted Lewat Semesta to Sony Music Entertainment to be the next single. Apparently, the label team agreed to recycle this song and it will be released on September 15, 2023.

"One of my favorite songs sung by Randy Pangalila. It tells the story of a man who likes a woman but cannot express his feelings directly to her. So, he pours his heart out through the universe and God," said Yogie in his written statement received by Kapanlagi.com.

"The message that this song wants to convey is basically, don't delay expressing our feelings to the person we love. Don't let their heart freeze, as mentioned in the last lyrics," he continued.

Although happy to be able to recycle his favorite song, Yogie also feels worried. It is inevitable that there will be comparisons between him and Randy Pangalila.

"I am happy that the label approved this song to be the third single. However, I was worried about being compared to Randy's version. But, I tried to convince myself that each singer has their own uniqueness. It's up to the listeners to prefer which one. If they can enjoy both, why not?"

2. A Reflection

The presence of Lewat Semesta as the third single also reflects Yogie Nandes' journey in the Indonesian music industry. In this single, Yogie feels that he has found his musical character.

"I never expected to continue creating and receiving positive responses from music listeners in Indonesia. Hopefully, this third song can remind people who are heartbroken because of love with the song sung by Randy and was once booming. After three songs, I feel that the music I sing is more in line with my character and more true to myself in Lewat Semesta," he said.

The presence of Lewat Semesta version is also expected to bring back memories of the love journey of music lovers in the homeland during their youth. "Hopefully, this song can be a flashback to the beautiful memories of falling in love back then. A beautiful memory from 12 years ago," he hoped.
