Suspected of Taking Away Ticket Money, Chairman of Lentera Festival 2024 Committee Arrested by Police in Banten

Kapanlagi.com - The Tangerang Kota Police successfully arrested the chairman of the Lentera Festival 2024 committee, who is suspected of taking away the money from ticket sales. This was conveyed by the Tangerang Kota Police Chief, Kombes Baktiar Joko, on Wednesday (26/6/2024).

"Yes, he has been arrested," said Baktiar when confirmed by journalists.

The perpetrator named Muhammad Dian Permana was arrested in the Baduy area, Banten. Currently, the police are still conducting an examination of Muhammad Dian Permana, who is known as the chairman of the Lentera Festival committee.

As it is known, Lentera Festival 2024 held in the Tangerang area ended in chaos. The audience expressed their anger because several bands scheduled to perform, such as NDX AKA, Guyon Waton, and Feel Koplo, did not show up. However, the audience had bought tickets for Rp 115,000.

According to Kapolsek Pasar Kemis, AKP Ucu Nuryandi, the riot started at 19:00 WIB, when the audience was disappointed after finding out that the promised musicians did not appear.

"Initially at 19:00 WIB, the audience was confused to see a dark stage and no artists. However, the concert was supposed to start around 20:00 WIB," he said when confirmed by journalists on Monday (24/6/2024).

2. Audience Disappointment

The disappointment of the audience reached its peak when the event did not start.
They then damaged and burned equipment belonging to vendors, including sound systems, stages, video screens, and others.

"Indeed, some things were burned, it was the sound system. The riot happened until 20:30 WIB. Eventually, we were able to disperse it and give a warning to the audience," he concluded.
